I’ve got a 991 Turbo that I absolutely love but something’s been bothering me for a couple months now. When I’m pushing through a corner and hit a bump or an uneven patch of road, the rear end kind of steps out sideways just for a split second, nothing crazy but enough to make me back off. Tires are nearly new Michelin PS4S, pressures are correct, alignment was done maybe 8 months ago. I’m starting to think the rear dampers might be tired because the car has done nearly 70,000 kms and I’m pretty sure they’re original. Someone in my Porsche group suggested finding a proper Porsche Suspension Service Dubai that actually understands the PASM system because apparently swapping shocks on these cars requires recalibrating the ride height sensors and the active dampers, otherwise the computer will still think the old shocks are fitted. I’m trying to decide if I should just replace the rears only or bite the bullet and do all four corners while I’m at it. Also curious if anyone has switched to aftermarket like Ohlins or KW on their Turbo and regretted losing the factory PASM adjustability. Really don’t want to compromise the daily drivability but that wandering rear end is killing my confidence.
