Had to actually use the fancy US kit last week and I have mixed feelings honestly
Been a quiet couple of years at our little Ajman facility spill wise but of course the one day the boss decides to bring a potential investor through the warehouse we had a drum of cutting fluid tip off the pallet and the cheap absorbent roll we’d been nursing for ages just smeared the mess around into a bigger shiny puddle while everyone stood there looking like they were waiting for a miracle, and I remembered we had stashed one of those emergency spill kits USA standard industrial use bags in the corner after a safety audit scared us into buying it six months ago, so I tore it open in a panic and I’ll give it this the pads actually soaked up the fluid instead of just pushing it across the concrete and the disposal bag didn’t immediately tear when I shoved a bunch of heavy saturated socks into it which is more than I can say for the usual ones we buy. The gloves were decent too didn’t turn into a floppy mess the second they touched oil, but here’s my gripe the whole thing is packed so tight in that yellow bag that getting the first few items out without dumping the entire contents on the floor is a bit of a wrestling match and when you’re already stressed about a spreading slick it’s not the most graceful experience, and now I’m trying to figure out if I should just buy the refill components separately instead of another full kit because the bag itself is still in good shape and I’m not made of money.
